Endocrinology is a subspecialty of internal medicine that deals with the diagnosis
and treatment of diseases related to various hormones and their actions and
disorders in the body. These are substances that help to control activities in the
body and have several effects on metabolism, reproduction, food absorption and
utilisation, growth and development etc.

The most common diseases and disorders of the endocrine system that
endocrinologists deal with include diabetes mellitus and thyroid disorders.

At Endocrinology, Diabetes and Associates we provide diabetes education and
nutritionist / dietitian counselling. We also administer hormone therapy and
immunisations.

Other services we offer include EKG testing, pap smears, thyroid ultrasound and
ultrasound guided biopsy.

Our patients enjoy the convenience of laboratory services in our office, provided
by Biomedical Laboratory Services (Monday-Friday, 8am-4pm). We accept all
major health, credit and debit cards. We are centrally located beside Megamart’s
Kingston branch on Waterloo road.
